Italy Dolomites 08 Marmolada 3968.jpg
Foreground that gently slopes uphill makes positioning of foreground (these flowers) relative to the background (mountain) much easier. This means, if I lower the camera, the flowers will be positioned higher up the background slopes.
Whereas, if I rotate the camera to point to the right, where the flowers slope downhill, I have little control of my composition.
Classic landscape from Passo Pordoi, with Mt Marmolada in the Dolomites, northeast Italy.
